Making a guest appearance at Coca-Cola Park, the Phillie Phanatic was hit by a foul ball and has not returned to the field since the incident.

The Phillie Phanatic may be added to the list of walking wounded for the Phillies. The lovable mascot was making an appearance at Lehigh Valley's Coca-Cola Park Wednesday night when he was hit by a foul ball.

In his usual manner, the Phanatic played off the incident before walking up the steps and heading into a non-public part of Coca-Cola Park.

The Phanatic was supposed to make a couple more appearances on the field, but did not return to the game after the incident. There were reports that the Phanatic required medical attention and was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

It was a tough night for mascots. Just prior to the game, FeFe, one of two Lehigh Valley mascots fell off the back of the Phanatic's ATV, but has been around the park on her usual route since the incident.
