The final part of the deal that brought Hunter Pence to the Phillies has gone through. Outfielder Domingo Santana winds up heading to the Astros organization to complete the trade.

Domingo Santana, ranked as the ninth best prospect in the Phillies organization by Baseball America, officially became the final piece of the deal that made Hunter Pence a Phillie.

Santana, who just turned 19 last week, was hitting .269 with Lakewood this season. In 236 minor league games, Santana was a career .247 hitter in the Phillies system and was a product of their Dominican Summer League.

With the deal now complete, the Astros received three of the Phillies top ten prospects in the deal. First baseman/outfielder Jonathan Singleton and pitchers Jared Cosart and Josh Zeid were the other three players included in the deal.

Since joining the Phillies, Pence is hitting .327 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 14 games and has become a fan favorite.
