To hear Phillies GM Ed Wade talk, it appears that the Phillies will be active not only in the free agent market this winter, but in the trade market as well. Finding a free agent closer and potential top-of-the-rotation starter in the free agent market alone won’t be easy and Wade has expanded his horizons to look at potential deals that would bring a closer or other pitcher to the Phillies. One name they should leave off their list of expendables is Ryan Madson. | |
