If there is one position that the Phillies are sorely lacking in prospects, it’s catching. With Mike Lieberthal slowly getting up there in age, the Phillies have absolutely no heir apparent to the major league catching job. The only possibility was Johnny Estrada who was traded away to get Kevin Millwood in December of 2002. One possibility to progress to the majors is Carlos Ruiz. | |
