Prospect Profile: Nick Evangelista

Nick Evangelista could have been started on his professional career a year earlier than he was, but decided to play his senior season at the University of Pittsburgh. At first glance, it may appear that the decision wasn't much of a help to his career, but in many ways, Nick Evangelista is right where he would want to be and has no regrets about his decision to spurn Toronto for another season at Pitt.

"For a kid who's a huge Phillies fan, it's an honor to be drafted by their organization," exclaimed Nick Evangelista when the Phillies took him on the second day of the 2004 Draft.
