Prospect Scouting Report: Seung Lee

For years, the Phillies scouting in Asia was non-existent. In 2001, the Phillies entered the market and came away with two highly sought after pitchers in Il Kim and Seung Lee. Kim has fallen by the wayside, but Kim is still considered somewhat of a prospect. Lee has had ups and downs throughout his minor league career and had been figured on to be in the major league rotation by now, but that obviously, hasn't happened.

Seung Lee started out on somewhat of a wrong foot with his professional career. The Phillies signed him as an amateur free agent in March of 2001 and by June of that season, he had undergone back surgery.
