Pitching prospects held a slight edge over the position players on the list of top prospects as our readers put six pitchers in the top ten list of players. Two of the four position players are catchers, which is one of the strongest and deepest spots in the organization.
As the voting went on by our readers, Philly Baseball News has been moving our way up the list of our Top 75 Prospects in the organization. While we're not ready to unveil our top ten, we can tell you that some of the reader's picks echo ours, but others are different.
Feel free to give your thoughts on the voting on our Ashburn's Forum. Or, perhaps you want to post your own list of the Phillies top ten prospects for others to consider.
What our readers are saying:
On Carlos Carrasco...
I've got to go with Carassco. To be at AA at 20 is just amazing. He really has no ceiling. - RodeoJones
If not for the injury, I would say Drabek because he appears to have the most upside in terms of tools but I agree that as things stand now, Carrasco is the Phillies top prospect. He already has part of a season in AA under his belt at age 20 and could potentially seen some time in AAA later this season. - 3Up3KKK
I have seen each of them play, and I know Carrasco is going to be a yop of the rotation pitcher some day,but now I would have to go with Adrian Cardenas as the yop prospect. High school player of the year, Can play multiple positions. A 3,4,5 hitter in the 280 to 300 mark. One more thing also, his is a leader on the field. - rrsports
