Guess Who We Ran Into at Coca-Cola Park?

Reggie Taylor just can't seem to get away from Philadelphia. He may be the property of the Atlanta Braves, but he's back in the Philadelphia area for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs home opener.

Boy, the guy wearing that number 19 jersey looks familiar. It's our old buddy Reggie Taylor. Taylor came to the Atlanta Braves system this season and is at Triple-A Richmond. Ironically, he wasn't in the starting lineup for Richmond, but a couple of hours before game time, he was slapped into the lineup in place of Scott Spiezio in left field and took Spiezio's spot in the cleanup spot.

Taylor, one of the poster boys for failed Phillies draft picks, spent small parts of two seasons in Philadelphia after being drafted by the Phillies in the first round of the 1995 Draft. The largest portion of his Major League experience came with Cincinnati, but for the past two seasons, Taylor has bounced around the Mexican League and independent baseball before joining the Braves organization prior to this season.

The IronPigs return home after playing and losing their first eight games of the season on the road in Scranton and Pawtucket. The inaugural season for the 'Pigs may be off to a bad start, but there is still a lot of excitement surrounding the team in the Lehigh Valley, just about an hour outside of Philadelphia. It's enough excitement to bring Phillies CEO Dave Montgomery to town for the game.
