Dave Huppert will manage the squad in what will be his 23rd season as a minor league manager. Huppert's squad showed vast improvement last season over the inaugural season in Lehigh Valley, finishing 71-73.
Huppert will have hitting coach Greg Gross and pitching coach Rod Nichols back with him in Lehigh Valley.
Reading Phillies - The R-Phils are also returning their manager, Steve Roadcap. A resident of nearby Pottsville, PA, Roadcap took Reading to the post-season in 2009, but lost to Akron in the first round of the playoffs.
Roadcap will have Frank Cacciatore returning as hitting coach, but Reading's pitching coach will be new. Bob Milacki, who was the pitching coach at Lakewood in 2009, moves up to Reading to handle the R-Phils staff.
Clearwater Threshers - In addition to losing Milacki, Lakewood also loses their manager. Dusty Wathan, who took Lakewood to the South Atlantic League title last season, is rewarded with a stint as manager of the Threshers.
Dave Lundquist will return as pitching coach at Clearwater, while Kevin Jordan returns for his third season as the Threshers' hitting coach.
Lakewood BlueClaws - There is a surprise at the helm of the BlueClaws in 2010. Former major leaguer Mark Parent returns to affiliated ball to take over for Wathan as the manager at Lakewood. Wathan left baseball briefly before managing Chico in the Golden Spikes League in independent ball before joining the Phillies for 2010.
The new pitching coach at Lakewood will be Steve Shrenk, who served as the pitching coach for the 'Claws in 2005 and 2006. Greg Legg returns for his third season as hitting coach after formerly serving as Lakewood's first manager.
Williamsport CrossCutters - Chris Truby returns to manage at Williamsport in 2010. Truby led the 'Cutters to a second place finish in the Pinckney Division last season with a 42-34 record.
Joining Truby in Williamsport will be two new faces. Lance Carter will join the staff as the new pitching coach and Jorge Velandia, who was on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs roster in 2009, will serve as hitting coach.
Gulf Coast League Phillies - Roly De Armas returns to the helm in the GCL, with Chuck Hernandez serving as his pitching coach and Donnie Sadler as his assistant coach.
