Having idols is one thing. Emulating your idol can be a little dangerous as Gavin Floyd found out last season. What started as a good idea, got Floyd’s season off to a slow start, but eventually, his raw talent and knack for doing his own thing righted his season and got him back on top of his game. The Phillies have a pair of bookend starting pitchers at the top of their prospects list and there are a lot of teams that would love to have either Floyd or Cole Hamels in their organization.
