Benito Santiago
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 220
Position: C

Bats: R
Throws: R
Date of Birth: 03/09/1965
Birthplace:
Puerto Rico
Experience: 19

Biography:
C Benito Santiago hit .274 with six homers and 23 RBIs for Kansas City last year before his season ended in mid-June, when an errant pitch broke his left hand. Santiago will be 40 on Opening Day and is no longer a top-notch defender, but he can still hit a little and should be a stabilizing factor with a young pitching staff.
