Young went 0-1 with a 3.12 ERA and across two starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm on a rehab assignment. In 8.2 innings he allowed five hits, one walk and struck out seven. He allowed three homers while holding the opposition to a .161 average.

Young went 7-6 with a 3.96 ERA across 18 starts with the San Diego Padres. In 102.1 innings he allowed 84 hits, 48 walks and struck out 93. He allowed 13 homers and induced four double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .221 average.

2007

Young went 9-8 with a 3.12 ERA over 30 starts with the San Diego Padres. In 173 innings he allowed 118 hits, walked 72 and struck out 167.

2006

Young went 11-5 with a 3.46 ERA in 31 starts. In 179.1 innings he allowed 134 hits, walking 69 while striking out 164. He allowed a team-high 28 homers.
