How he became a Phillie
The Phillies acquired Blanton from the Oakland A's for minor leaguers Adrian Cardenas, Josh Outman and Matt Spencer. Blanton was originally drafted by Oakland in the first round of the 2002 Draft.
2008 Season
Went 4-0, 4.20 for the Phillies after being acquired from Oakland. In the post-season, Blanton was 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA.
