How he became a Phillie
Signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on February 15, 2008 and was added to the major league roster for Opening Day.
2009 Season
Started the season going 0-for-5 and seeing just five pitches in his first five at-bats... Designated for assignment on May 16 after hitting .118 in 15 games with the Phillies... Cleared waivers and accepted an assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley... Hit .287 in 78 games with Lehigh Valley before having his contract purchased again by the Phillies on August 22.
