2008 Season
Hit .292 with a career-high 33 home runs for the Phillies. Won his third straight Silver Slugger Award and was named the starting second baseman for the National League All-Star team for the third straight season. Hit .353 against the Dodgers in the NLCS. Had hip surgery after the season to repair an impingement in his right hip.
2007 Season
Hit a career-high .332 in 132 games and finished eighth in the NL MVP balloting. Missed a month of the season after breaking his wrist when he was hit by a pitch from Washington's John Lannan on July 26th.
2006 Season
Hit 32-102-.309 in 160 games for the Phillies and made his first appearance in the All-Star Game when he was voted in as the starting second baseman for the National League. Also won his first Silver Slugger Award and finished seventh in MVP balloting.
2005 Season
Spent his first full season in the majors, playing in 147 games for the Phillies and another 33 at Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Hit 28-105-.291 on the season.
