How he became a Phillie
Acquired from the Houston Astros on November 7, 2007 along with infielder Eric Bruntlett for outfielder Michael Bourn, third baseman Mike Costanzo and pitcher Geoff Geary.
The Phillies signed Lidge to a three-year, $37.5 million deal on July 6, 2008. The deal also includes a club option for 2012 for an additional $11.5 million, bringing the total deal to four-years, $49 million.
2009 Season
Placed on the DL on June 9 with a right knee sprain and was activated on June 25.
