Signed as an amateur free agent in January, 2005.
2009 Season
Named the 11th best prospect in the Phillies organization by Philly Baseball News... Promoted from Reading to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on May 21, where he went 1-0, 2.08 in two starts before having his contract purchased by the Phillies... Made his major league debut June 2 against the Padres in San Diego... Went 2-3, 6.75 in five starts for the Phillies before being placed on the DL on June 26 with a strained shoulder... Was transferred to the 60 day DL on August 22.
2008 Season
Named the 14th best prospect in the Phillies organization by Philly Baseball News... Started the season at Clearwater and was promoted to AA Reading on May 2nd... Was on the DL (June 15 - August 8) with left shoulder inflammation... Went a combined 4-5, 2.95 in 19 starts with Clearwater and Reading.
