Terry Tiffee Profile
Finally, Terry Tiffee's bat will be in the lineup for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The veteran third baseman has missed the entire season so far because of back problems, but was activated in time to join the club when they return home to play Indianapolis Tuesday night (June 23) at Coca-Cola Park.
Tiffee hit 9-56-.378 last season at Las Vegas, the Dodgers Triple-A affiliate, and led the Pacific Coast League in hitting. Tiffee has played parts of four seasons in the majors - three with Minnesota and one with the Dodgers - and is a career .226 hitter at the major league level. The 30 year old has played all or part of five seasons at the Triple-A level and has hit .296 with 85 home runs in 3711 Triple-A at-bats in his career.
To make room for Tiffee, the IronPigs sent catcher Orlando Guevara to Clearwater.
