Brian Mazone spent the past three seasons in the Phillies organization before leaving as a minor league free agent. Mazone pitched for the Dodgers Triple-A club in Albuquerque and went 0-1 with an 8.44 in 13 starts this season.

Mazone was acquired for cash and will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he pitched last season. With the IronPigs, Mazone was 9-12 with a 4.10 ERA in 28 starts.

Originally signed with the Phillies as a minor league free agent following the 2005 season. He spent three seasons in the Phillies organization before signing with the Dodgers as a free agent, but was then reacquired by the Phillies on June 30, 2009.
