Andrew Buschini hit his first professional home run for Williamsport Wednesday as the CrossCutters beat Mahoning Valley 2-1. Buschini's home run - a sixth inning solo shot - gave the 'Cutters their 2-1 lead and the bullpen was able to shutout Mahoning Valley over the final three innings to preserve the win.
Buschini, the Phillies fourth round pick in the 2009 Draft, was off to a slow start for Williamsport, but is now 2-for-7 in his last two games and is looking more confident at the plate. On the season, Buschini is hitting .167 (3-for-18).
