With Michael Taylor being promoted to Lehigh Valley, Reading receives Clearwater's Tim Kennelly. The Australian product hit .304 in 75 games with the Threshers and played at catcher, first, third, left and right this season.

Kennelly will likely play primarily in the outfield, but could also see some time behind the plate because Reading catcher Tuffy Gosewisch was placed on the DL Thursday with a right hand fracture.
