No, Kyle Kendrick wasn't scratched from his start for Lehigh Valley because of a pending trade. Here's the story.

Clay Condrey is still hurting and the Phillies might need to put him back on the DL. If they do, they want to recall Kendrick and didn't want him to pitch Tuesday and not be available for a few days. This way, they buy some time to see how Condrey feels and can recall Kendrick, if necessary.

Biography:
How he became a Phillie
Drafted by the Phillies in the seventh round of the 2003 Draft.

2009 Season
Recalled from Lehigh Valley on June 12, after going 4-4, 4.03 in 12 starts with the IronPigs... Made one relief appearance with the Phillies (2 IP, 3 ER, and a loss) against Boston and was optioned back to Lehigh Valley... The Phillies then recalled Kendrick again on July 25... Kendrick pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings in Philadelphia, but was optioned back to Lehigh Valley on August 12.

2008 Season
Spent the season with the Phillies and went 11-9, 5.49 in 30 starts... Was left off the post-season roster after struggling late in the season.

2007 Season
Started the season at AA Reading and went 4-7, 3.21 in 12 starts before being called up to the Phillies and making his major league debut on June 13th... Went 10-4, 3.87 in 20 starts for the Phillies.
