How he became a Phillie
Signed a minor league deal with the Phillies on April 9, 2009 and was assigned to High-A Clearwater.
2009 Season
Assigned to AAA Lehigh Valley on April 20... Placed on the DL with a left hamstring strain on May 6 and was activated on May 23... Had his contract purchased by the Phillies on June 14, but was designated for assignment on July 17... Walker cleared waivers and accepted an assignment to AAA Lehigh Valley on July 21, only to again have his contract purchased by the Phillies on July 23.
