Sebastian Valle continues to pound New York-Penn League pitching. Wednesday, Valle went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Williamsport's 4-2 win over Hudson Valley. Valle's three hits upped his league-leading average to .388 on the season.

Jonathan Pettibone (2-3) gave up one run - unearned - over five innings of work to get the win and Justin Long recorded his sixth save of the season with a perfect ninth inning.

Williamsport is now 20-13 and tied for first in the Pinckney Division.

Ranked the 17th best prospect in the Phillies organization by Philly Baseball News... Started the season at Lakewood where he hit .217 in 41 games... Was sent to Williamsport on June 24.

Named the 17th best prospect in the Phillies organization by Philly Baseball News.

Played his first season in the United States in the Gulf Coast League and hit .281 with 2 home runs and 18 RBI.

2007 Season
Played in the Dominican Summer League and hit .284 with a .398 on-base percentage. Started the year as a first baseman, but moved to catching part way through the season.
