The Phillies signed sixth round draft pick Steven Inch and will assign him to the Gulf Coast League. The 6' 4" right-hander attended Vauxhall Academy in Alberta, Canada. Inch was in Philadelphia for a physical and to sign his contract on Tuesday and stayed to watch the Phillies game.

The deadline to sign players from the 2009 Draft is August 17.
