Acquired from the San Francisco Giants for catcher Ronny Paulino on March 27, 2009.
2009 Season
Posted a 5.21 ERA in 21 relief appearances with the Phillies prior to being designated for assignment on July 3, 2009... Taschner accepted an assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on July 6... Went 0-2-2, 2.08 in 20 relief appearances with Lehigh Valley before being recalled by the Phillies on September 1.
