Injuries opening doors for some players

For every bit of bad news on the injury front, there is good news for players trying to make the team out of spring training. Hand surgery will guarantee that Domonic Brown will miss opening day and Chase Utley continues to battle tendinitis. Those injuries open the door for a couple of the lucky combatants in Phillies camp, but just who will win the spots?

While Ben Francisco's spot on the ball club wasn't ever in jeopardy, it certainly wasn't a guarantee that he would be in the starting lineup on Opening Day. Domonic Brown's injury has pretty well cemented Francisco's starting job, especially when you look at his numbers so far.
