If the Phillies were looking bad because of their deal that sent pitcher Cliff Lee to Seattle, now, they're looking horrible. While all three of the players that came over from Seattle have struggled this season, Tyson Gillies added insult to injury - literally - when he was arrested on felony drug charges.

Tyson Gillies was arrested early Friday morning on felony cocaine charges stemming from an incident in June. The arrest was made in Clearwater, where the incident allegedly occurred while Gillies was rehabbing from a hamstring injury.

The 21 year-old Gillies was arrested just before two a.m. on Friday and was released after posting $2,000 bond. A spokeswoman in the Pinellas County Sheriff's office noted that the charges against Gillies are a felony.

Gillies played three games with the GCL Phillies this past week on a rehab assignment, but was again bothered by the recurring hamstring injury that has hampered him all season long. Gillies was shut down for the rest of the season to allow the injury to heal and there were reports that Gillies was to see orthopedist James Andrews in the near future to further assess the injury.

The Phillies issued a statement confirming that Gillies had been charged, but wouldn't comment on the case citing the fact that it was an open legal case.
